PAUL BEARER

From 1991 until his final live appearances in 2012, William Moody played the over-the-top mortician Paul Bearer to the hilt, guiding the careers of The Undertaker and Kane, as well as Vader and Mankind.

In real life, William had a background in mortuary science -- it was no gimmick! -- ushering in a wrinkle of authenticity and menace.

The Paul Bearer character defined his career and took him places he never dreamed possible.

The call to the World Wrestling Federation came on December 22, 1990. I remained with WWF/WWE for just short of twelve years. Known as “The Manager Of Champions," I was fortunate to be able to perform in over 28 foreign countries around the world, and in all of the fifty states, including Alaska and Hawaii.

Because of the supernatural elements of his character, he is one of the few wrestlers ever to make appearances after he died!

We will look at the genesis of the macabre "fat man" and go on a ride though his travels and career development.

It didn't matter whether you were "Percy Pringle" or "Paul Bearer." You always did it with class. You have always been, and still continue to this day, to be a credit to our business. It was my great pleasure to have worked with you.
